The conveyor belt is the most important component of a belt conveyor. It is a so called endless tension member, which supports load. Besides transporting the load, it’s other task is to carry longitudinal forces necessary to overcome the conveyor movement resistance. Proper belt selection is essential for the stability of the entire system’s operation: it helps reduce capital expenditures, and minimizes possible problems associated with the operation of the entire conveyor.
